<h3>Here&#8217;s your first Home Office Fitness Challenge: Have A Ball!</h3>

Sitting on a stability ball while working at your desk is a great way to<span id="more-85"></span> <strong>engage the core muscles</strong> that support your spine. These are the deep back, abdominal, and transverse abdominal muscles that are activated every time that you move your body. They are the foundation of all movement.</p>
<p>You may also find that sitting on the ball at your desk will keep you <strong>mentally alert and focused</strong>. Your brain has to constantly send signals to your body to ensure that you stay upright. Simple little movements on the ball each hour will do wonders for your <strong>productivity and mental performance</strong>.</p>
<p>The ball that I sit on at my desk and use for my home office fitness is a <strong><a href="http://astore.amazon.com/shapeupathome-20/detail/B0006U843O">65 cm stability ball</a></strong>. I recommend that you alternate between sitting on the ball and your regular office chair in 15 minute increments. After seven days you can increase the amount of time that you sit on the ball to 30 minutes. As I mentioned, sitting on the ball is working your muscles so you don&#8217;t want to over do it in the beginning.</p>
<p>As mentioned in the video above, I prefer to use an adjustable dumbbell set mainly because it&#8217;s a real space save. Plus if you were to purchase all the dumbbells individually the cost would be much greater. I use the<strong> <a href="http://astore.amazon.com/shapeupathome-20/detail/B000A6QINW">PowerBlock Classic Adjustable 5-45 Pounds Per Dumbbell Set</a></strong>. Angie use the <strong><a href="http://astore.amazon.com/shapeupathome-20/detail/B000A6T9I8">PowerBlock SportBlock 24 Adjustable 3-24 Pounds Per Dumbbell Set</a></strong>. You don&#8217;t necessarily need the adjustable set. A few dumbbells will do the trick, but I&#8217;m sure that you&#8217;ll find it a cost and space saver with the adjustable set.</p>
<h3>Your Task For Today:</h3>
<p>Get yourself a stability ball and use it in 15 minute increments. Get comfortable with it. Move your hips from side to side and front to back. Have fun and bounce on it for a little bit. You&#8217;ll be amazed at how it will pick up your mood and boost your spirits.</p>
